Download from Shared Google Drive folder with the Google Drive mobile app

May 23, 2017

The following steps illustrate how to download pictures from a shared Google Drive folder if you have the Google Drive app installed.  The steps should be identical for both iPhone and Android phones.  Windows phones:  I’m sorry.

1. Click the “Open” button or the link I shared with you in an email. It should open up the Google Drive app to that folder.

2.  Once the folder is open and you see the thumbnails of pictures, click one to view it full screen.

3.  Once a picture opens full screen you can scroll left/right to see more. When you find a picture you want to save, press and hold it until a box pops up.

4.  Click “OK” to save the picture to your camera roll.

Extra:  For more options, instead of pressing and holding on the picture, press the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen on a picture (Step 2).
